Rachel Bridges

Rachel Hoover Bridges, 81, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Wesley Court Assisted Living. Born February 1, 1934, in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Hattie Lucinda Swofford Hoover. She was retired from Phillips Fibers and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughter, Nadean Mason of Boiling Springs, SC; grandson, Justin Mason; great-grandsons, Lance Mason and Jacob Mason; and sisters, Virginia Lloyd of Richmond, VA and Doris Hoover of Inman, SC. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Friday, October 23, 2015, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. A memorial service honoring her life will follow at 3:00 PM at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
