R. Mixon Jr.

Rudolph Benjamin Mixon Jr., 77, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. He was born November 17, 1941, in Charlotte, NC, to the late Rudolph and Bonnie Mixon. Benny was a graduate of Southern Missionary College. He worked for Case Brothers of Spartanburg for many years and retired as the piano curator for Converse College. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Jessie Cook Mixon; son, Benjy Mixon; daughter, Becky Mixon Garver; granddaughters, Cheyenne Mixon and Aspen Mixon Childers; and great-granddaughter, Elowen Childers. The family will host a memorial service at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1217 John B. White Sr. Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29306.
