Robert Michael Barnett, 71, of Cowpens, SC, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born September 9, 1946, in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of the late Robert Hugh Barnett and Arzie Beatrice Frady Barnett. A 1964 graduate of Cowpens High School and veteran of the SC Army National Guard, Mr. Barnett was employed with Clarkson Brothers for over 20 years. He was a member of Cowpens Masonic Lodge #210 and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughters, Michelle D. Thomas (Charles) and Monica P. Cain, all of Chesnee, SC; grandchildren, Grace Thomas, Katherine Thomas, Tanner Cain, and Tucker Johnson; and great-grandchild, Avery Cain. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Claudia B. Kirby. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, April 6, 2018, in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
