Pierce Allan Drummond, 82, of Eden Terrace, 2780 E. Main Street, Apt. J206, Spartanburg, died Friday, April 6, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 13, 1930, in the Green Pond community of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Thomas Benton and Isabelle Free Drummond. He was retired from the U.S. Soil Conservation Service; and following retirement sold and developed real estate, enjoyed playing golf, and was a lifelong farmer. He attended Clemson University, was a member of Three Pines Country Club, and was a lifelong Baptist. Survivors include his wife of 40 years and lifelong friend, Betty C. Drummond; his daughter, Alison M. Drummond and her husband, David C. Smith and their son, Jacob Drummond Smith, of Marietta, GA; and his son, Philip Allan Drummond and his wife Kelly Greathouse Drummond of Charlotte, NC. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM on Monday, April 9, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone and the Rev. Bill Adams. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
