Phyllis Diane Strickland

Phyllis Diane Strickland 74, of Boiling Springs, SC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Born on November 24, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Edward Cooper and Evelyn Green Cooper.

Phyllis is survived by her loving daughter: Amy Corbin (Chuck), a son; Blaine Strickland, a son-in[1]law; Tim Palmer, grandchildren: Brooke Palmer, Harrison Corbin, Graham Corbin, a great granddaughter Ny’Kaylah Strickland, sister; Barbara Garrett (Fred), Great nieces; Deena Morgan and Kaci Morrell (Matt), a great nephew Jeremy Morgan (Erin). Phyllis was predeceased by her husband of 27 years Lanny Strickland, a daughter Lisa Palmer and a nephew Butch Morgan.

Phyllis had a successful career at American Textile Specialties, where she served as Vice President for 31 years. Her commitment to her profession was paralleled by her dedication to her family and faith. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She loved spending time at the beach, and on the lake.

The family would like to extend a very special “Thank you” to all the staff at Spartanburg Regional Hospice and Phyllis’s caregiver, Lois Wilson, for the love and care they provided to their mother.

A graveside service will be held in her memory at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road Spartanburg, South Carolina 29307 on Thursday, September 12, 2024, beginning at noon.
