Phillip Johnson, Jr.

Phillip Edwin Johnson, Jr., 46, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 15, 1962, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Phillip Edwin Johnson, Sr. of Inman and Sandra Gosnell Johnson of Spartanburg. He was employed with Phil Johnson Contracting Company and the SC Department of Transportation. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his parents are two sons, Travis Johnson and Brandon Johnson, both of Spartanburg; a sister, Robin and her husband Randy Henson and son Randy Henson, Jr. of Boiling Springs; a brother, Dale Johnson (Lisa) and daughter Randi of Boiling Springs; maternal grandmother, Esther Thorstad of Taylors; and his step-mother, Loretta Johnson of Inman. Visitation will be 12:30-1:45 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Danny Garrett.
