Perry Caldwell

Perry Clyde Caldwell, 61, of Moore, SC, died Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born October 30, 1956, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John Wilburn Caldwell and Jane Marie McMillian Caldwell. An avid pool and guitar player, Mr. Caldwell was a cousin of Toy and Tommy Caldwell and fan of the Marshall Tucker Band. He retired from the City of Spartanburg as an engineering inspector after 30 years of service and was a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Robin Lynn Elledge Caldwell; children, Amanda Kelly Caldwell (fiancé, Tony Horton) and Zachary Perry Caldwell (fiancé, Ronica Bibb), all of Spartanburg, SC; and special canine friend, Jack. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by The Rev. Asheton Amerson and The Rev. Chris Snelgrove. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 443-A Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC 29169 online at www.afsp.org.
