Peggy Sherbert

Peggy Doris Simpson Sherbert, 73, of 115 Bishop Drive, Chesnee, died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 8, 1937, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late J. C. and Ruth Alene Edmund Simpson. She retired in 1993 from Nestle in Gaffney and was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, William Kenneth Sherbert; a son, Terry V. Sherbert (Wanda) of Inman; three daughters, Pamela D. Bolton (Ricky), Karen L. Freeman (Rusty), and Sharon J. McDowell (Andy), all of Chesnee; a sister, Jean Sanders, of Boiling Springs, SC; thirteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Jack Simpson. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM on Monday, August 22, 2011, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at Buck Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Chris Gulledge, the Rev. Kenny McDowell, and the Rev. Scott Miller. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
