Peggy Annette Miller

Peggy Annette Kimbrell Miller, 89, a lifelong resident of Spartanburg, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the Upstate Carolina Hospice House in Landrum, SC. Annette was born on November 1, 1934, in Spartanburg County, a daughter of the late Will and Elizabeth Bradley Kimbrell. She was married to the late George William Miller.

Annette was a 1953 graduate of Boiling Springs High School. She was a longtime member of Gravely Memorial United Methodist Church where she was active in the Young at Heart and the Friendship Sunday School Class. One to stay busy, Annette was formerly employed at Bond Bakeries, All American Fabrics, and Lydia Fabrics.

She loved watching her Atlanta Braves, carefully tending to her plants and garden, working puzzles of any variety and watching the Game Show Network. Annette’s most cherished times were spent with her daughters, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter, Sharon Miller Long (David); her grandchildren, Toni Watkins (Brayden), Dani Hall (Mat) of Key Largo, FL, William Long and Janie Long; her great-grandchildren, Zander Watkins and Taryn Watkins; her sister, Wavie K. Burnett (Burt); her brother, Benny Kimbrell; her brother-in-law, Donnie Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Annette was predeceased by a daughter, Sue Miller Ramsey; a sister, Zellon K. Burgess; and two brothers, Mendel Kimbrell and Larry Kimbrell.

A visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Jack Polin.

The family wishes to thank SC House Calls, Agape Care Hospice and the Smith-Phayer Hospice House staffs for the loving and tender care given to their precious Annette.
