Peggy Marlin

Peggy Genell Trent Marlin, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Open Arms Hospice, Simpsonville, SC. Born December 17, 1930, in Rogersville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Charles Hugh Trent and Viola Johnson Trent and widow of James Marlin. Mrs. Marlin retired from Mountainview Nursing Home as a nursing assistant and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her children: daughter, Diane Coggins (Rodney) of Spartanburg, SC; sons, Danny Hyatt and Ronnie Hyatt (Elizabeth) of Greenville, SC, and Jimmy Hyatt of Asheville, NC; and three grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Buck Trent and his wife Jean of Branson, MO. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 24, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by Mr. Bryan Coggins. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
