Peggy Koonce

Peggy J. Koonce, 79 years of age, of Spartanburg, SC, passed peacefully Monday, April 18, 2022, at her son's home in Charlotte, NC. Born on June 25, 1942, in Spartanburg, SC, to the late George P. and Inez Vera Beheler Pryor.

Peggy’s greatest love and passion was for her family. She cherished the simple things in life with the love for her family as her highest priority. She enjoyed gardening, cleaning, and spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and friends, always eager to listen or lend a helping hand.

Survivors include her son, Nick Keith Koonce (Jackie) of Charlotte, NC; granddaughters, Alisa R. Dick (Gregor) of Cambridge, UK, Stephanie L. Koonce of Charleston, SC, and Katherine A. Koonce of Charlotte, NC; great granddaughters, Judith Dick, Susanna Dick and Simona Dick, all of Cambridge, UK; her siblings, Rebecca Hall and Johnny Pryor, both of Spartanburg, SC. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Betty Snow, Bobby Pryor, Jimmy Pryor, Roger Pryor, Jane Smith, George Pryor, Jack Pryor, Jerry Pryor, and Gladys Medford.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, April 22, 2022, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the chapel, conducted by Mr. Joseph Williams. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
