Peggy Howard

Peggy Sims Howard, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, September 23, 2016, at Magnolia Manor-Inman. Born August 6, 1947, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Harvey and Virgie Dee Wells Hand and stepfather, Royce Lamar Hand. Mrs. Howard was an avid shopper and loved and rescued dogs. She was a member of Dove Assembly and retired from Gibson Greeting Card Company. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy D. Arrington of Glade Spring, VA; two grandsons, D. J. Jamerson and Brandon Arrington; sister, Betty Morgan of Boiling Springs, SC; niece, Melissa Pressley; nephew, Danny Ray Edwards; friends, Ella Ree Hadden and Patsy Hawkins; special friend, Rocky Goode of Spartanburg, SC; and two canine companions, Baby and Amanda. She was predeceased by her first husband, Larry Russell Sims; second husband, Ervin Howard; and son, Chris Sims. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the home of Melissa Pressley, 174 Waterford Drive, Inman, SC 29349. Private services will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of Melissa Pressley.
