Peggy Griner

Peggy B. Griner, 82, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home. Born in Glendale, SC, she was the daughter of the late Boyce and Ida Crocker Hollifield.

Peggy was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was Co-Founder of SOS (Survivors of Suicide), worked and volunteered with Mental Health Association, and Lady Auxiliary with Gideons International.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney Oneal Griner, her sons, Charlie Blalock of Duncan, SC and Christopher Blalock of Spartanburg, her brothers, Douglas Hollifield of Columbia, SC and Carl Hollifield of Spartanburg, SC, her sisters, Faye Cartee of Spartanburg, SC and Mary Rochell of Spartanburg, SC. Along with her parents, she is also predeceased by a daughter, Susan Blalock, her sisters, Rebecca Osment and Gladys Cantrell.

A Visitation will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Cryptside service will be held at 2:00 PM in the mausoleum, conducted by Chaplain Earl Simmons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wren Hospice, 955 W. Wade Hampton Blvd., Suite 3A, Greer, SC 29650.

The family would like to give special thanks to Wren Hospice and Staff for their loving care to Peggy.
