Peggy Pridgeon Crosby, 81, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born December 22, 1930, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Hal Linton Pridgeon Sr. and Ruby Crocker Pridgeon. Mrs. Crosby was a member of Westgate Baptist Church. She lived her entire life for the Lord and her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. God blessed her with a sweet and loving marriage for 59 years as a devoted pastor's wife. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Paul Joseph Crosby; sons, Patrick Crosby, Paul A. Crosby, Phil Crosby, all of Spartanburg, and Joey Crosby of New Smyrna Beach, FL; daughters, Penny Hughes and Pamela Floyd, both of Spartanburg; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Pridgeon of Spartanburg; sister, JoAnn Eubanks of Spartanburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Hal Pridgeon. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Westgate Baptist Church, by the Rev. Bill Bethea and the Rev. Chuck Thornton. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
