Peggy Crock

Peggy Johnson Crock, 90, of Hendersonville, NC, died Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Elizabeth House in Hendersonville. Born November 2, 1922, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Eugene and Pauline Stanford Johnson. Mrs. Crock was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended Converse College majoring in music. Survivors include her daughter, Elayne Vasi Kendle (Charles); son, Chip Vasi (Cindy Orshek); grandchildren, Allyson Vasi Pierce, Taylor Vasi, Justin Cranford, Charles Cranford, Gary Kendle, Geoff Kendle, and Shari Avance; sister, Margaret Johnson Burns of Rockville, MD; and step-sons, Gary Hinch and Greg Hinch. She was predeceased by three husbands, Charles Vasi, John Hinch, and Bruce Crock; a daughter, Ginger Vasi Cranford; and son-in-law, Robert Cranford. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Andy Case. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
