Peggy Brown

Peggy Marie Byars Brown, 69, of Inman, SC, died Monday, May 23, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 20, 1946, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Byars and Lucille Scoggins Wilson. An avid gardener and horticulturist, Peggy loved spending time with her identical twin great-granddaughters. She received her Nursing Degree from USC-Upstate and served the community as a registered nurse at various hospitals for 37 years. Survivors include her children, Robert Earl Brown III of Spartanburg, Shane Brown (Melissa) of Roebuck, SC, and Tonya Kay Brown of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Ferrin Leigh Brown, Loran Joshua Morrow, Chelsea Marie Clay, Aaron Seth Clay, and twins, Izzy and Anna Dawkins; sisters and brother, Sherry Thompson of Spartanburg, SC, Robert Byars of Union, SC, and Claudia Gaines of Campobello, SC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Gayle Humphries; and sister, Bobbie Kind. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Friday, May 27, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Ken Casillas.
