Peggy Bain

Peggy Burnett Bain, 57, of Lake Bowen, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 11, 1954, in Charleston, SC, she was predeceased by her father A. E. (Al) Burnett and is survived by her mother, Alice Burnett of Spartanburg, SC. Peggy was an employee of Southern Bell/AT&T and a member of the AT&T Pioneers. She was an active member, and past president, of the local chapter of the Communications Workers of America, of the Baptist faith, and a devoted gardener. In addition to her mother, Peggy is survived by a brother, Jack Burnett and his wife Audie Woolsey of Arlington, VA; a sister, Lisa Burnett-Kirby and her husband Rick of Gaffney, SC; two nieces, Ellison Kirby of Columbia, SC and Heather Kirby of Gaffney, SC. She was predeceased by her beloved dog Bowzer. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
