Peggie Brown

Peggie McAbee Brown, 77, of Roebuck, died Monday, August 10, 2009. Born January 31, 1932, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Chris McAbee, Sr. and Clara Casey McAbee and the wife of the late Ed Eugene Brown, Sr. She was the owner and operator of a family owned convenience store and a member of Roebuck Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, John Brown and his wife Jan of Gaffney; a brother, John Chris McAbee, Jr. and his wife Helen of Roebuck; and a sister, JoAnn M. Justice of Moore. She was predeceased by a son, Ed Eugene Brown, Jr.; and a sister, Mary Ruth McAbee. Visitation will be 3:00-4:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Fred S. Quidley and Niles Brown. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
