Pearl Thompson Weir, 82, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at the home of her daughter. Born June 14, 1930, in Spartanburg County, she was the widow of L. G. Weir and daughter of the late Ralph Leonard and Ethel Ridings Thompson. Mrs. Weir was a member of Green Street Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Mary Black Memorial Hospital, and the Spartanburg County Library. She was also a member of Parents Without Partners and the Spinners Square Dance Club. Survivors include her daughters, Jeri Robison and husband Danny of Reidville, SC, and Libby Lyles and husband Mark of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Cameron Lyles and wife Casey of Moore, SC, Clayton Lyles of Spartanburg, SC, Leigh Robison of Reidville, SC, and Anna Heatherly and husband Keith of Reidville, SC; great-grandchildren, Schyler Heatherly; and special friend, Ed Scruggs. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Friday, October 19, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Moore.
