Pauline “Polly” Lenora Cannon Lewis, 95, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, September 11, 2022 at SMC-Mary Black Campus. Born September 2, 1927 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Pearl Kimbrell Cannon and the wife of the late Eddie Fletcher Lewis.
Pauline was retired from Lyman Print and Finishing. She was a faithful member of Spartanburg First Wesleyan Church. Polly was a loving Christian lady who loved Jesus and her family. She truly reflected the words of Proverbs 31:10-31.
Survivors include her son, Harry “Mike” Foster (Deb) of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren. Carly Lineberry, Scott Lester, Melissa Starnes and Kim Whitlock; five great grandchildren, Ben and Reese Lineberry, Thomas, Alyssa, and Hope Starnes; and one great-great grandson, Hunter Starnes; six special nieces and nephews, Betty Hagler, Sally Eleazer, Jean Tinsley, Ann Hannon, Jimmy Eleazer (Georgia), and Johnny Eleazer (Barbara).
She was also predeceased by her daughter, Patricia “Pat” Reed, and siblings, Earl Cannon, Edna Eleazer, and Eva Allison.
Visitation will be 9:30 – 10:30 am Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Gary Long. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
