Pauline Greer Davis, 87, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born January 31, 1923 in Hawkinsville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Sr. and Christine Walker Ingram. She was first married to the late William H. Greer Sr. and then to the late Rev. Forrest K. Davis. Pauline was a member of the Mon-Aetna Baptist Church and a former member of Evangel Cathedral. She worked for the Census Bureau for a number of years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by three sons, William "Billy" H. Greer Jr. and his wife Marty of Atlanta, GA, Joseph "Jake" H. Greer and his wife Roslyn and Lee J. Greer and his wife Joan of Spartanburg, SC; two granddaughters, Melissa A. Greer and Amanda G. Bass and her husband Daniel all of Spartanburg, SC; five grandsons, Joseph "Joey" H. Greer Jr. of Spartanburg, William "Hal" H. Greer III and his wife Jenny and George S. Greer and his wife Anna all of Macon, GA, Michael A. Greer and his wife Amissa of Richmond, VA, and Brittan "Britt" Peace of Atlanta, GA; twelve great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert L. Ingram and his wife Helen of Cordele, GA. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Benny Green Jr. and the Rev. Janice King. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Mon-Aetna Baptist Church, 1431 Lockhart Highway, Union, SC 29379; or GraceWay Church, PO Box 170596, Spartanburg, SC 29301; or Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
