Paul Lindsay

Paul Eugene Lindsay, 77, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born October 22, 1939, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Arthur Chester Lindsay and Mattie Geneva Cudd Lindsay. A U. S. Navy veteran and graduate of Spartanburg High School, Mr. Lindsay retired from Duke Power after 42 years of service where he was Quality Compliance Specialist. After his retirement, he worked with KVA. He was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church and ASA Umpire Association. He was an avid sports fan and his favorite teams were the Carolina Gamecocks and the Carolina Panthers. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Geraldine Crowe Lindsay; children, Robin Smith (Keith) of Boiling Springs, SC, Perry Lindsay (Suzanne) of Wilmington, NC, Kim Turner (Ronnie) of Inman, SC, and Michael Lindsay (Ivey) of Boiling Springs, SC; 12 grandchildren, Bronson Smith (Amy), Jeremy Smith (Heather), Caitlin Lindsay, Emma Catlett, Ashton Turner, Kennedy Crow (Mason), Chandler Turner, Reid Turner, Dillon Lindsay, Tyler Lindsay, Abbigayle Garner and Erin Garner; 5 great-grandchildren, Noah Smith, Zoey Smith, Layla Smith, Griffin Smith and Maci Kate Crow; sister, Shirley Price of Roebuck, SC and his beloved dog, Molly Girl. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Dean Lindsay. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Benny Green and the Rev. Kenneth Cash. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
