Paul Wilson Coggins, Sr., 95, of Spartanburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2012, at RoseCrest Health Care Center. Born May 24, 1917, in Spartanburg County, he was the husband of the late Emma Cooper Coggins, and son of the late Landrum Herbert and Belle Lowe Coggins. Mr. Coggins was a retired electrician with Colonial Pipeline Company, a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and served as deacon at his church. He was also a 60-year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Survivors include his daughter, Sue Buckner and husband Fred of Chesnee, SC; son, Paul Wilson Coggins Jr. and wife Mary of Savannah, GA; grandsons, Craig Buckner and wife Amanda, Collin Buckner and wife Cindy, Paul Wilson Coggins III "Tripp" and wife Carrie, and Robbie Coggins; and great-grandchildren, Cole Buckner, Garrett Buckner, Jeremy Howard, and Easton Buckner. He was predeceased by sisters, Annie Mae Clayton, Ruth Melton, and Louise Belcher; and brother, Fred W. Coggins, Sr. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 PM Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bob Buhl and Mr. Dan Lyda. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
