Paul Melvin Beckwith II, 55, of Spartanburg, a devoted husband and loving father, passed away on Monday morning, November 25, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Paul was born on March 1, 1969, in Owosso, MI, a son of the late Paul Melvin Beckwith I and Sharron Lee Dawson Beckwith.
Paul graduated from Corunna High School in 1989. He would then go on to work in construction and become part owner of a construction company for a time. He spent the last 20 years working as a maintenance technician, 16 years with Duer/Carolina Coil and the last 4 with Plastic Omnium.
Surviving is his loving wife of 23 Years, Rachel Ann Robertson Beckwith; his sons, Paul Jesse Beckwith (16) and Clayton Beckwith (13); his sister, Patricia Beckwith; his brothers, Randy Beckwith, Steve Beckwith (Renee) and Greg Beckwith; his mother-in-law, Deborah Robertson; his father-in-law, Steve Robertson; and his sister-in-law, Nicole Robertson and many nieces and nephews.
Paul’s biggest passion in life was his family. He took every opportunity he could to spend time with his wife and sons. He looked forward to the countless hours he would spend watching his sons play their many sports and helping his wife with the numerous volunteer projects they were involved in. Paul was a faithful man who loved the Lord, and he led his family in that way.
Paul was not only loved by his family, but many also lost a friend. He enjoyed helping others when asked and was a loyal friend to many. He was a master at sarcastic humor and witty timing that kept everyone laughing. There was so much more to him than just husband or father, though to us that was his greatest rolls. He was also a brother, co-worker, cousin, stand-in paternal figure, handyman and the list could go on.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Chapel of Church at the Mill, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369. A service to honor Paul’s life will follow at 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2024, conducted by DJ Horton.
