Paul Babb, Sr.

Paul Earl Babb, Sr., 67, died Friday, July 8, 2011, at his home. Born July 18, 1943, in Campobello, SC, he was a son of the late John Landrum and Mammie Clemintine Herman Babb. He served 27 years in the National Guard and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ann Mason Babb of the home; two sons, Paul Earl Babb, Jr. of Picayne, MS, and John Mitchell Babb of Spartanburg; a daughter, Paige B. Baim of Greer; four grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Carrol of Clearwater, FL. He was predeceased by a brother, John Wayne Babb; and three sisters, Nettie Burns, Cornelia Baumgardner, and Miriam Reynolds. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, September 9, 2011 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, in the church, conducted by the Rev. Gordon Raynal. Burial, with military rites, will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Paul E. Babb, Sr. Memorial Fund, PO Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
