Patsy Russell

Patsy Theresa Hinson Russell, 84, sunrise January 21, 1936 in Mecklenburg County, NC, sunset December 5, 2020 in Spartanburg, SC at White Oak Estates. She was the daughter of the late William Rufus and Salma Theresa Mullins Hinson and wife of 64 years to the late William Redderick Russell Sr. A graduate of Harding High School, Mrs. Russell attended Clemson College and was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Advent. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Elaine Russell of Florida; grandchildren, Ren William Redderick Russell III and Brandon Nicole Russell Coleman; eight grandchildren, Brandi, Christopher, Sebastian and Logan Coleman, William Russell III, April, Holden and Hadley Russell;sister-in-law, Peggy Hinson; nephew, Ron Hinson (Mims) all of North Carolina; caregiver and close friend of more than 20 years Gloria Norman of Moore, SC and a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by son, William R. Russell Jr.; sisters, Gartha Hinson Chesser, Stalla Hinson Hood, and brothers, Bill William Rufus Hinson Jr. and James Marshall Hinson. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2020 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307 by The Rev. Thomas Moore.
