Patsy Hammett

Patsy Jo Kirby Hammett, 63, of Cowpens, died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at her home. Born August 16, 1947, in Cowpens, she was the daughter of the late Charles Loel and Rosa Maynor Kirby. Patsy was a member of Goucher Baptist Church, Gaffney, and retired from Hoechst Fibers. Survivors include her son, Timothy Dean Wood of Cowpens; a granddaughter, Roxxy Shianna Bear of NC; a sister, Ruby Pryor of Pauline; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister. Patsy will be available for viewing after noon Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, June 27, 2011, in Cowpens Cemetery. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family is at the home.
