Patrick Gilligan

March 13, 1941 — July 27, 2021

“Today our family lost a special piece to our family puzzle. Pat Gilligan was the kind of man that taught his family that spending quality time together was important. That doing dishes and house chores wasn't just for women. That if something got broken that you should try to fix it. That wondering, learning and reading about new things is worth doing. That even in old age and sickness he believed that taking care of and spoiling his grandkids was a top priority. He treated them all like they were the most important people in the world. I have been blessed to be a part of his life and he accepted me like I was his daughter. I could and did talk to him about anything and everything. I thought that it was amazing how he enjoyed life so much. He seemed to cherish any moments that he shared with his loved ones. He was always positive and saw the good in things that others might not notice. I loved how he was not afraid to show his love and affection. I loved how he wanted you to know that you were important to him. I really loved him for all these things and I will miss him dearly. I pray that he will have eternal peace. That his soul is at rest now. I pray that we will meet again.”  ~ Tara
