Patricia “Patty” Louise Seifert Jarrett, 84, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional-Mary Black Campus. Born January 18, 1937, she was a daughter of the late William Elmer "Bud" and Dorothy Lane Gompf Seifert.
Mrs. Jarrett was an Executive Secretary with Dritz Corporation. She was a graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College and University of South Carolina in 2004 where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and was on the President’s List. She was an accomplished music director for the South Carolina Conference United Methodist Church.
She was very active with the United Methodist Churches as Choir Director for many years. She was currently a member of Central United Methodist Church and a beloved member of the Red Hat Society for the past 20 years.
Survivors are her husband, James “Jim” William Jarrett, her son, Jeffrey Thomas Miller and wife, Sherry of Fernandina Beach, FL, her daughter, Elisabeth Anne Miller of Tampa, FL, grandchildren, Alexander Philip Penaflor, Cassidy Elisabeth Miller, Justin Thomas Miller, her sisters, Winifred Lane Corn of Spartanburg, SC, Avriel Jeanine Patrick of Greer, SC, and sister-in-law, Patricia Burns Seifert of Greenville, SC. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Michael David Miller and Stephen Eugene Miller, and a brother, William Eugene Seifert.
Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Cameron Y. Treece and The Rev. Mitch Kyllonen. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
