Patricia Weeks

Patricia Black Weeks, 63, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born October 9, 1953, in Kannapolis, NC, she was the daughter of Joan Black of Boiling Springs, SC and the late Fred Baldwin Black. Patricia loved her family, friends, and animals. She was of the Baptist faith, an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling with friends. Patty graduated from Boiling Springs High School where she played the clarinet in the marching band. She was employed at Spartanburg Medical Center where she was manager of the Imaging Service Department. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, John Joseph Weeks Jr.; daughter, Abigail Weeks (fiancé, Bryan Hudson) of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Jerry Black (Delorse) of Duncan, SC; sisters, Janice Greenway (James) and Elayne Black (Eric) of Boiling Springs, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, December 23, 2016, in Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Rd., Moore, SC 29369, by the Rev. Larry Padgett. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a church of your choice; or the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
