Patricia Raymond

Patricia M. Raymond, 78, of Moore, SC passed away March 31, 2022 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Daniel and Lillian (Santoro) Gruppo.

Pat was a 1961 graduate of Niagara Falls High School, received her Registered Nurse degree from Niagara County Community College and was employed by St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston, NY for 20 years.

Pat then worked countless hours to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of NY at Albany in 1988 and then her Master of Education from Niagara University in 1996.

She began teaching Nursing and subsequently taught high school science courses at La Salle Senior High School in Niagara Falls.

Pat is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael Raymond, and sons Michael (Ashley) Raymond of Greer, SC and Christopher (Jennifer) Raymond of Moore, SC. Pat was extremely proud of her sons and all their accomplishments. She is also survived by two grandsons, Tyler and Lennon, whom she dearly loved, her sister Annette (Calvin) Carmen, her brothers, Anthony (Cathy) Gruppo and David (Anne) Gruppo.

Pat loved her Labrador Retrievers Mattie and Mollie. Donations to local animal rescue entities in lieu of flowers are appreciated.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, 2575 Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301, conducted by Father Liam Panganiban.
