Patricia Johnson

Patricia "Patsy" Elizabeth Johnson, 75, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, October 12, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born April 28, 1943, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Wofford Johnson Sr. and Louise Foster Johnson. An avid golfer, Patsy was the State Golf Champion for several years and a member of the SC Women's Hall of Fame. She received a BS Degree from the University of NC Women's College-Greensboro, NC in 1965 and was a retired Physical Education teacher with McCracken Jr. High School. Survivors include her brother, Clarence W. Johnson Jr. (Dee) of Spartanburg, SC; niece, Evin Elizabeth Johnson of Spartanburg, SC; nephew, Christopher Wofford Johnson (Millie) of Columbia, SC; great-nephew and niece, Curry Wofford Johnson and Evin Catherine Johnson of Columbia, SC; and her beloved poodle, Charlie. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Jason Loscuito. Visitation will be at the graveside.
