Patricia (Pat) Thawley Brogan 1932-2016 Pat passed peacefully after complications following surgery for a broken hip in Fort Walton Beach, FL where she has lived for the past three years with her son Michael Brogan and near her daughter Kelly Murray. Pat is also survived by her eldest son Keith Brogan who lives in Spartanburg. Pat spent most of her life in Spartanburg raising her family with her husband Edward Brogan who passed in 1990. The Brogans lived in Spartanburg after moving to the area from Maryland. Pat leaves behind six grandchildren, Jason, Josh, Jessy, Maggie, Tyler and Zachary. She also leaves one great grandchild, Kalyn. She also leaves behind sisters, Shirley Santucci and Pam Condon and a brother, James Tawley. Pat's faithful companion "Fluffy" will also miss her greatly. Pat was born near Chester, PA March 9th, 1932 and lived a full life. Pat lived her life selflessly, putting the needs of others before her own. The affection felt for her by her children and grandchildren are testimony of a life of sacrifice for others. Her needs were few and nothing brought her greater joy than to be in the presence of her family. She could brighten the smile of her grandchildren like no other. Pat and Ed loved to dance and socialize.
