Patricia Ammons

Patricia June Ammons, of Lexington, formerly of Easley, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia. Born March 19, 1940, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Herbert and Thelma Mae Turner Ammons. Miss Ammons was a teacher at Wade Hampton High School in Greenville and retired after 30 years of service. She was of the Methodist faith and worked for the American Red Cross. Survivors include her brother, Keith Ammons of Lexington; a nephew, Damon Ammons of Spartanburg; nieces, Jennifer and Lindsey Ammons of Spartanburg; and three great-nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 7, 2011, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Andy Case. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, PO Box 9035, Greenville, SC 29604. Following the service, the family will be at the home of Jennifer and Damon Ammons, 214 Cart Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
