P. Brooks

Preston David Brooks, 83, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born March 31, 1934, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late John Henry Brooks and Clara Cleo Austin Brooks. Mr. Brooks retired from the U. S. Army National Guard and Spartanburg Water Works. He was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Betty W. Brooks; daughter, Carole B. Lister (Jack) of Chesnee, SC; grandchildren, Tara Dockins (Jason) of Westminster, SC and Daryl Lister (Leeta) of Spartanburg, SC; great-grandchildren, Olivia Lister and Preston Lister of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Jerry Brooks of Inman, SC; and sister, Joyce Sprouse of Greenville, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Robert Brooks, Franklin Brooks, Richard Brooks, and John Brooks Jr. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316 with funeral services following at 2:30 PM, conducted by The Rev.
