Ozelle Roddy Stewart, widow of Cecil Sifford Stewart went to be with Jesus on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Magnolia Manor. Born April 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Roddy, Sr., and Daisy McCraw Roddy.
Mrs. Stewart was retired from Arrow Automotive and was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church and a charter member of Northbrook Baptist Church.
She leaves behind two sons, Bill Stewart of Boiling Springs and Tim Stewart (Donna) of Huntersville, NC and two daughters, Cecile Comer (Tommy) of Gaffney, SC and Betsy Stewart of Hickory, NC. She was “Granny” to Stewart Comer of Cary, NC, Jacob Comer (Deandra) of Boiling Springs, SC, Matthew Stewart (Georgia) of Fountain Inn, SC, Jenna Stewart (Annie) of New York, NY, Katelyn Abernathy of Charleston, SC, Matthew Abernathy of Huntersville, NC, and Benjamin Abernathy of Huntersville, NC. She is also survived by three brothers, John F. Roddy of Boiling Springs, SC, Ralph Roddy, Jr. of Chesnee, SC and Glenn Roddy of Chesnee, SC, a sister, Brenda Blanton of Chesnee, SC.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Roddy and two sisters, Betty McAbee and Evelene Batchelor.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM September 10, 2021 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with The Rev. Tommy Comer and The Rev. Bobby Lindsey officiating. The family will receive friends before the funeral from 10:00 – 10:45 AM at the chapel.
