Otis Gregory

Otis Alford Gregory, 84, of Wellford, SC beloved husband, father and Papa, went home to be with his Lord Thursday, March 04, 2021, at his home. Born February 7, 1937 in Spartanburg, SC he was the son of the late H. B. Gregory and Monie Smith Gregory. A graduate of Fairforest High School, Mr. Gregory worked for Reeves Brothers Inc., in Quality Control for 43 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia where he served as a Deacon, Trustee, church treasurer and in other ministries. He loved working at the church, in "Papa's Shop" and traveling with his wife, vacationing and his family. Mr. Gregory was a former Mason. Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Carolyn Joan Sisk Gregory; son, Jeffrey Otis Gregory and wife, Aidé Cuéllar Gregory; daughter, Lisa Joan Gregory all of Spartanburg, SC; grandson, Kyle Mills Jackson of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Dr. Laura Anne Jackson Lambert and husband, Dr. James Lambert of Birmingham, AL and great-grandchildren, Henry Lambert and Charlotte Lambert both of Birmingham, AL. Visitation will be 2:00-2:40 PM Sunday, March 7, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Arcadia, with funeral services following at the church at 3:00 PM conducted by The Rev. Dylan Styles and The Rev. Joey Burnett. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Due to COVID, please wear masks and practice social distancing.
