Otha Glover

Otha Laphon "Buddy" Glover, 64, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Emeritus at Skylyn Place. Born July 3, 1950, in Seminole, TX, he was the son of the late Beecher Laphon and Evelyn Smith Glover, and husband of the late Rita Glover. A U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War MP, Mr. Glover served in the Airborne 82nd Division and Special Forces for 21 years. He was employed with the NC Department of Corrections. Among survivors are his daughter, Becky Bishop (Brian) of Chesnee, SC; grandchildren, Brandi Butler of Winston Salem, NC, Dylan Butler of Fort Stewart, GA, and Nicholas Bishop of Chesnee, SC; sisters, Cherie Almand (Tommy) of Pearsoll, TX, Janet Nicks (Ed) of Midland, TX, Johnny Lynn Stanley of Grapevine, TX, and Bobbie June of Texas. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Pam Hixon. No services are scheduled at this time.
