Oscar "Pop" Thomas Griffin, 86, of Moore, SC, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Pelham Medical Center. Born March 1, 1931, in Moore, he was the son of the late George V. and Grace West Griffin. Pop had a love for fishing and spending time with his family. He was a farmer raising cotton and soy beans as well as cattle. He was the owner of Griffin Body Shop and formerly employed with Burwell Chevrolet and Joe King Oldsmobile. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Alma Tutterrow Griffin; daughter, Ann G. Gregory (Wayne) of Moore, SC; son, John T. Griffin (Denise) of Cookeville, TN; grandson, Tommy Gregory (Trina) of Pauline, SC; great-grandchildren, Billy, Timmy, and Tori Gregory and their mother, Catina Gregory; step-great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Madison, and Piper Seagraves; step-great-great-grandchildren, Colt Henderson and Harper Bullock; sister, Alma Milligan of Moore, SC; brother, Buck Griffin (Clara) of Moore, SC; two very special nephews, Richard and Ted Griffin; and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a great-grandson, Taylor Gregory; and brother, James Griffin. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, March 10, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Moore Church of Christ, 2798 Moore Duncan Hwy, Moore, SC 29369, by Minister John T. Griffin. Burial will be in Moore Church of Christ Cemetery. The family is at the home of Ann and Wayne Gregory, 2704 Moore Duncan Hwy, Moore, SC 29369.
