Ophelia Barbara Taylor Lawson, 86, of Inman, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Inman Health Care. Born May 2, 1926 in Fairforest, SC, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bagwell Taylor, and wife of the late John Paul Lawson, Sr. She retired from Raycord Shirt Factory and was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Asselin and husband Ronald of Spartanburg; son, John Paul "Johnny" Lawson, Jr. and wife Evelyn of Spartanburg; brother, Bill Taylor and sister, Mary Hinson both of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Kim Bray and husband Oren, Tina Coffin and husband Jason, and Misty Satterfield; and great-grandchildren, Brandon and Lance Bray, Kaleb and Abby Coffin, and Tyler Satterfield. She was predeceased by brothers, Joe, Broadus, Ben, Hugh, Sam, and Earl Taylor; and sisters, Leola Galloway, Elizabeth Fowler, Louise Morrow, and twin sister, Camelia Taylor. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:30 PM Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Fairforest Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Kermit Morris, the Rev. Don Greene, and the Rev. Robert Emory. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
