Oneda Mcdowell

Oneda Jackson McDowell, 96, Spartanburg, SC, passed away November 26, 2021.  Born November 20, 1926, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Edwin and Irene Easler Jackson; wife of the late James Henry McDowell.

Mrs.  Mc. Dowell was a retired employee of the Aug W. Smith Company and Charles Brown Ltd. And a charter member of Cannon’s Baptist Church and Crossroads Baptist Church.

She will be remembered by her love of God, family and friends.  She blessed everyone she touched and the ripple effect of her love will endure forever.

Mrs. McDowell is survived by a daughter, Dale Mason, Spartanburg, SC, and a son Darrell McDowell (Sharon) of Boiling Springs, SC; Grand-children, Jason James Blackwell, Brian Dean Blackwell, Nathan James McDowell and Michael Caleb McDowell; a brother George (Bobry) Jackson of Liberty, SC.  She was predeceased by a brother, Barney Jackson.

Graveside services will be 2:00PM, Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29307, conducted by Rev. David Swofford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Crossroads Baptist Church, 130 Conway Black Rd., Spartanburg, SC, 29307.
