Ollie Davis

Ollie Hammett Davis, 88, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Eden Terrace-Spartanburg. Born October 19, 1924, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late George and Olar Henderson Hammett and wife of the late Franklin Carl Davis. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, JoAnn Johnson (Jerry) and Sarah Brown (Mike); sons, Ken Davis and Michael Davis, all of Spartanburg, 17 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:30-3:45 PM Friday, September 27, 2013, at Fairview Baptist Church, 1551 Bryant Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Ty Childers and the Rev. Gary Adkins. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund, 1551 Bryant Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Mike Brown. Ollie was a resident of Eden Terrace for a number of years, and the family expresses their appreciation for the care and kindness shown to her during this time.
