Olema Lee Goodwin Hicks, 87, formerly of 119 Hidden Ridge Road, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at McCall Hospice House. Born August 6, 1923 in Chesnee, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hiley and Margie Louvine Gore Goodwin and the wife of the late Clarence Henry Hicks. She retired from Butte Knit and was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. She was an avid swimmer, gardener, and seamstress. Survivors include four daughters, Dianne Mallory and partner Joe Schmauch of Greenville, Glennis Anderson and husband John W. of Edisto Island, Judy Burrell and fiancé Gregg Donnelly of Spartanburg, and Patsy Smutzer of Inman; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Estelle Emory and Margaret Revisky. Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel, conducted by her nephew the Rev. Wayne Revisky and Chaplain Rick Millwood. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
