Oleene Nation Ellison, 92, of Pacolet, SC passed away April 3, 2022. Born May 20, 1929 to the late Francis Reno Nation, Sr. and Algie Ownby Nation, she was formerly married to the late Charles Roy Ellison.
Oleene was a great cook and taught crochet to the craft class at First Baptist Spartanburg, where she was a member.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Ellison of Pacolet, SC; son-in-law, Stephen Parker of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughter, Stephanie Breitenbach (Heath) of Pacolet, SC; great-grandsons, PFC Parker Breitenbach of Fort Drum, NY and Curtis Breitenbach of Pacolet, SC; and sister-in-law, Susie Nation of Seneca, SC. Along with her parents, Oleene was predeceased by children, Michael Ellison and Jackie Parker; and brother, Francis Nation, Jr.
The family would like to say a special thanks to their First Baptist family, friends, and neighbors for their care and concern, and to Dr. Ellis, MD and Angie, Dr. Wilson Smith, MD and Margie Discaya, NP, Dr. Dorstea Gabel, MD, and Dr. Dunn, MD.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 14 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372 conducted by Mr. Jim Garner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Spartanburg, 250 E. Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
