Nydia Ester Escudero-Bishop, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at her home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was born on November 26, 1946, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Mr. Angel Ramos and Mrs. Amparo Rivera-Ramos.
Nydia was known for her caring nature and her dedication to taking care of others. Her warm personality and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Nydia had a passion for crocheting beautiful creations, cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, challenging herself with crossword puzzles, and most of all, spending quality time with her loyal companion, her dog Daisy.
She is survived by her sons; Steven Escudero, Derrik Bishop and his wife Lauren; her daughters; Jackie Escudero and her husband Michael March, and Stephanie McDonald; her loving brother; Luis Ramos and his wife Miriam, nieces; Marta Reppe and her husband Erick, Heidi Arias and her husband Jose, a nephew; Louis Ramos and his wife Karen, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews including Ella Arias, Jacob Arias, Eli Arias, Ty Reppe, Maia Reppe, Alex Reppe, and Brandon Reppe and Nydia's cherished four-legged fur baby. Nydia is preceded in death by her husbands; Isidro Escudero and Joel Bishop; son; Mark Escudero; father; Angel Ramos, and mother; Amparo Rivera-Ramos.

A visitation will be held at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel 2075 East Main Street Spartanburg, SC 29307, on June 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Following that, a graveside service will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 1300 Fernwood- Glendale Road Spartanburg, SC 29307 at 12:00 PM.
The family would like to thank the staff of Agape Hospice for all the support and help they have given the family during this difficult time. Her nurses and the entire Agape team surrounded Nydia with love, encouragement and compassion everyday. Nydia will be remembered for her nurturing spirit and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace with God's Grace.
