Norman Sellars

Norman T. Sellars, 85, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 2, 1930, in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of the late Howard Hilton Sellars and Faye Sue Spencer Sellars. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Sellars was owner of Sellars Electric Service. He loved watching NASCAR and enjoyed time spent at the lake home. He was a member of First Baptist Church-Spartanburg, a Shriner, and former Chief of Hilltop Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, Donna Terry Sellars; children, Steve Duncan (Liz) of Spartanburg, SC, Rita Proffitt of Boiling Springs, SC, and Rhonda Barnette (Larry) of Spartanburg, SC; two grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Ann Reynolds of Cowpens, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Howard Leroy Sellars, James Hilton Sellars, and John Calvin Sellars; and one sister, Mildred Inez Poteat. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 29, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Bob Neely and the Rev. Sal Barone.
