Norma Wertman

Norma Jean Wertman, 79, of Spartanburg, died Monday, February 7, 2011, at her home. Born September 24, 1931 in Ashland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Glenwood and Grace Hetsler Drushel and wife of 49 years of Donald Lee Wertman. She was employed at the Welcome Center in Landrum and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was active in church ministries. Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Benjamin of Spartanburg, Becky Rodd of Clinton, TN, and Kathy Simmons of Florence, SC; a son, Tim Wertman of Spartanburg; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dean Drushel of Jeromesville, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 10, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Michael T. Shackelford. Burial will be at a later date in Ashland, OH.
