Norma Stapleton Stokley, 80, of Anderson, SC, died Monday, November 30, 2015, at her home. Born March 20, 1935, in Cowpens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Ella Ruth Solesbee Gossett and widow of the Rev. Lloyd Charles Stapleton and the Rev. William Stokley. Mrs. Stokley was a training instructor with Hoechst Celanese Corporation in Spartanburg, SC and a member of the Word Tabernacle in Anderson, SC. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Stapleton Beasley (Monte) of Anderson, SC; son, Pete Stapleton (Tina) of Cowpens, SC; grandchildren, Hope McAlister of Anderson, SC and Jared Beasley of Honea Path, SC; great-granddaughter, Callie Martin of Clemson, SC; sisters, Brenda Frady (Nesbitt) of Cowpens, SC, Iris Hunter (Jim) of Asheville, NC, and Martha Goode (Melvin) of Simpsonville, SC and brother Bobby Gossett of Travelers Rest, SC. Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 PM on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following in the Chapel at 2:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Gene Williams and Mr. Peter West. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
