Norma Demetriou

Norma Constance Ridgeway Demetriou, 84, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, October 7, 2012, at her home. Born October 7, 1928, in Spartanburg, she was the wife, for 69 years, of the late George Pete Demetriou and daughter of the late Perrett E. and Lois Edna Stancil Ridgeway. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are her children, Helen Lois (Don) McSwain of Forest City, NC, and Nelson G. Demetriou of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Angela Marie Demetriou (Tim) Cunningham of Greenville, NC; great-grandchildren, Reagan Grace Cunningham and Dylan Cole Cunningham; niece and nephews, Ricky King (Nikie) of Rock Hill, SC, Melody (Darryl) Jones of Columbus, NC, and Todd King of Roanoke VA. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Henry King. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Scott Linnerud. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
