Norma Cromer, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at the age of 85. Born on March 27, 1939, in Barrow, Georgia to the late Avery and Viola Skinner Dalton.
As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she exemplified kindness and warmth.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Mark Cromer of Inman and Bert Cromer of Pelzer; daughters, Lisa Bedford of Spartanburg and Tracy Watson (Jackie) of Cowpens; and stepdaughter, Dana Watson. Her legacy will continue through her grandchildren, Heather Cromer, Kyle Bedford, Kayla Koch, Dylan Bedford, and Sara Watson, as well as her step-grandchild, Cameron Watson. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Brayson Bedford, Jaxon Bedford, Maddie Bedford, McKensley Bedford, and Harper Newell.
Norma was known as a loving little lady who possessed a vibrant personality. She was a life long member of the Davis Memorial Baptist Church, where her faith and dedication influenced many. Norma enjoyed antiquing and refurbishing furniture, reflecting her creative spirit. Her talents were further known in her love for sewing and quilting, through which she crafted many beautiful quilts for her family—a symbol of her affection.
Predeceased by her parents, her loving husband, Burchell Hayward Cromer, and her brothers and sisters. Throughout her life, she formed deep and lasting connections, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
A visitation will be held from 10:30 am - 11:30 am on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 pm in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Services will be conducted by Mr. Edward Freeman.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital, stjude.org, in honor of Norma Cromer.
